I just read this really interesting article about movies and TV shows that were filmed in Fayetteville. It’s crazy how many big productions have actually been shot there! So, basically the article listed five productions that have been filmed in the area. Two of them are pretty well-known: “The Hunger Games” and “Masters of Sex.” But I had no idea that “I, Tonya,” “Godzilla: King of the Monsters,” and “Outer Banks” were also filmed in Fayetteville!
What’s even cooler is that the article gives some behind-the-scenes info about the filming process. For example, they shot some of the Capitol scenes in “The Hunger Games” at the old North Carolina State Capitol building in Raleigh, which I’ve actually been to before. Also, the “Outer Banks” team set up their base camp on a farm in Fayetteville, and they even hired a local band to perform at one of their wrap parties!
I have to say, reading about all these productions being filmed in the Fayetteville area made me proud to be from there. It’s not often that my hometown gets recognized like this on a national level. Plus, it’s just cool to think about all the famous actors and crew members who have spent time in Fayetteville!
Overall, the article was a fun and interesting read. It’s always cool to find out little tidbits about how movies and TV shows are made, especially when they’re filmed in your own backyard. I can’t wait to see what other productions decide to shoot in Fayetteville in the future!
