A GALAXY QUEST TV Series Is in the Works at Paramount+

So, did you hear about the new galactic news? Paramount+ just announced that they’re working on a TV series based on “Galaxy Quest”!

For those who missed out on this gem, “Galaxy Quest” is a sci-fi comedy that parodies famous franchises like “Star Trek.” The movie follows the cast of a cancelled TV show who are mistaken for real-life heroes by aliens in need of their help.

Now, more than two decades after the movie’s release, fans can look forward to revisiting these beloved characters in a brand new format. According to Deadline, the show will continue the story but with a fresh, modern take. Sadly, though, it’s unclear whether any of the original cast members will return.

Personally, I’m excited for the possibility of a new cast breathing new life into the universe. I can’t wait to see what kind of silly scenarios they get themselves into while trying to save the galaxy!

Overall, it’s great to see studios recognizing the enduring appeal of sci-fi comedies. With so much darkness and grit in the genre these days, sometimes we just need some good old fashioned goofiness to lighten the mood.
