Allison Holker: tWitch ‘didn’t want people to know’ he was depressed

So, I just read this really intriguing article about tWitch, the amazing dancer on Ellen’s show, who apparently struggled with depression for a long time. It’s pretty crazy, because he always seems like he’s oozing positivity and energy, but I guess that’s just a testament to how much he’s been through.

Basically, the article talks about how tWitch and his wife Allison Holker opened up about his depression on their podcast, where they revealed that he kept it a secret from everyone for years. It wasn’t until recently that he decided to talk about it publicly, in hopes that it would help others who are going through the same thing.

Some of the things tWitch said were really powerful, like how he felt like he was letting his wife and kids down by not being able to be fully present with them. And how he would put on a happy face in public but then go home and just feel empty and drained.

As someone who has dealt with anxiety and depression in the past, reading about tWitch’s struggle was really relatable. It’s easy to feel so alone when you’re going through something like that, but hearing other people talk about it can be such a balm for the soul.

Overall, I think the article is super important because it sheds light on the fact that even people who look like they’ve got it all together can be struggling behind the scenes. Plus, it’s a reminder that it’s always okay to ask for help, no matter who you are or what your job is. We’re all human, after all!
