At Baltimore Country Club, golf and career advice collide for women’s college athletes

I read an interesting article the other day called “At Baltimore Country Club, golf and career advice collide for women’s college athletes”. It caught my attention because I love golf and I think it’s important to support women in sports. Basically, the article is about how the Baltimore Country Club is partnering with a program called “Women’s Golf Day” to provide networking opportunities for female college golfers. They’re trying to help these athletes transition into successful careers after graduation.

Apparently, only about 1% of female college golfers go on to play professionally, so it’s really important for them to have other options. The Women’s Golf Day event gives them a chance to meet and network with successful women in a variety of fields, from law to finance to healthcare. They can get career advice and potentially even job offers!

As someone who has struggled with networking in the past, I think this is a great idea. Golf is a sport that’s often associated with business, and it’s great to see that being used to help women break into traditionally male-dominated fields. Plus, it’s always nice to have a chance to play golf with like-minded people!

Overall, I think this article highlights the importance of supporting women in sports and providing them with opportunities beyond the playing field. Whether or not you’re a golfer, it’s worth thinking about how we can empower female athletes to succeed in all aspects of life.
