So, I was scrolling through fitness blogs the other day and stumbled upon this cool article about hamstring workouts. It’s by Juan and Eric Leija and breaks down different exercises for various skill levels.
Basically, Eric and Juan go through three different workouts: beginner, intermediate and advanced. The beginner workout focuses on mostly bodyweight movements such as glute bridges and leg curls, while the intermediate workout kicks it up a notch with added weights and moves like Romanian deadlifts. And then the advanced workout really pushes your limits with intense exercises such as Nordic curls and single leg deadlifts.
Personally, I found it interesting because I’ve been struggling with my hamstring strength lately. I’ve been running more frequently and could definitely feel my hamstrings starting to get tight and uncomfortable. These workouts seem like they could be a great way to help me address that.
But even if you’re not a runner like me, strengthening your hamstrings is crucial for overall health and injury prevention. Strong hamstrings help stabilize your knees and hips, preventing potential injuries or strains. So, even if you’re not an expert in fitness, it’s important to take care of your hamstrings.
Overall, I definitely recommend checking out this article if you want to improve your hamstring strength and learn some new exercises. Eric and Juan really know their stuff and provide clear, easy-to-follow directions.
