So, I read this article titled ‘Celebrities Are A**holes’: Shaq Says He Denounced The Label Of Being A Star Years Ago, and it was pretty interesting. Shaq was talking about how he doesn’t like to be called a “star” or a “celebrity” because it carries a certain negative connotation. He thinks people assume that celebs are arrogant and entitled, which is not always the case.
I think Shaq makes a good point. There are definitely some celebrities who seem like they think they’re better than everyone else, but I’ve also met plenty of famous people who are down-to-earth and chill. In fact, I used to work at a high-end restaurant in LA, and I served all kinds of celebs. Most of them were actually pretty nice, and some of them even tipped really well!
But regardless of whether or not someone is a jerk, it’s important to remember that they’re just people at the end of the day. They might have more money or fame than the rest of us, but that doesn’t make them inherently better or worse. And maybe if we stop putting them up on a pedestal, they’ll stop acting like they’re above us.
Overall, I think Shaq’s message is one we should all take to heart. We should treat everyone with kindness and respect, regardless of their fame or status. And maybe, just maybe, we’ll start to see a shift in how celebrities are perceived.
