So, I just read this really interesting article about Cheryl Strayed’s new Hulu series, “Tiny Beautiful Things”. In case you don’t know, Cheryl Strayed is the author of “Wild”, which was turned into a movie starring Reese Witherspoon. But this new Hulu series is based on her collection of advice columns, where she gave advice under the pseudonym “Dear Sugar”.
Basically, the show is about people writing into “Sugar” with their problems and Cheryl Strayed’s character responding with her wisdom and experience. It’s a really heartfelt and emotional show, exploring themes like love, family, and grief.
I have to say, I’m a big fan of Cheryl Strayed. “Wild” was such an incredible book and I admired her bravery in hiking the Pacific Crest Trail alone. And her advice columns were always so insightful and compassionate. I’m really excited to see how this translates into a TV show.
But beyond my personal admiration for Cheryl Strayed, I think this show is really important because it tackles some really big topics that are often difficult to talk about. It’s easy to feel alone in our struggles, but this show reminds us that there are other people out there experiencing similar things. And it’s comforting to hear someone like Cheryl Strayed offer words of comfort and guidance.
Overall, I think “Tiny Beautiful Things” is a show worth checking out if you’re into heartfelt and emotional storytelling. Plus, Cheryl Strayed is just an all-around badass.
