I just read such a cool article about the City of Midland starting up their “Movies in the Park” series this month! Basically, every other Wednesday starting on May 19th, you can go to Centennial Park in Midland, Texas and catch a free movie with your family and friends. They’re showing a mix of classic and newer films, so there’s something for everyone. Plus, you don’t need to worry about bringing chairs or blankets— the city is providing them for free!
As someone who grew up in Midland, I think this is such a great idea. It’s a nice way to get out and enjoy the outdoors while also having a fun night with your loved ones. I remember going to some of the city’s other events, like Summer Mummers or the Midland County Fair, and just feeling so proud to live in a place that puts on such great stuff for the community.
At any rate, if you’re in the Midland area and looking for something to do on a Wednesday night this month, I definitely recommend checking out Movies in the Park. It’s a cost-effective and family-friendly way to spend an evening, and you might even discover a new favorite movie!
