So, I stumbled upon this cool article the other day about inclusivity in the workplace, specifically for LGBTQ+ graduates. It’s called E8: Workplace inclusivity for LGBTQ+ graduates with myGwork.
Basically, it’s talking about how important it is for companies to create a safe and welcoming environment for LGBTQ+ employees, especially those fresh out of college. It can be scary enough starting a new job, let alone feeling like you have to hide or pretend to be someone you’re not.
The article goes on to discuss how myGwork is helping connect LGBTQ+ job seekers with companies that prioritize inclusivity and diversity. I think that’s really cool, because finding a job can be tough enough without having to worry about whether or not your employer will accept you for who you are.
Honestly, this topic hits close to home for me. I have a few friends who have struggled to find jobs where they feel comfortable being open about their sexuality. It’s frustrating to see people have to hide a part of themselves just to make a living.
That’s why I think it’s important for companies to create a more inclusive workplace culture. Not only does it help LGBTQ+ employees feel more comfortable and supported, but it also benefits the company as a whole by promoting diversity and acceptance.
Anyway, that’s my two cents. Check out the article if you’re interested. It’s a good read!
