Game of Thrones' George R.R. Martin on Dunk and Egg TV Series

As a fan of the George R.R. Martin’s Game of Thrones series, I was intrigued to read about his plans for a Dunk and Egg TV show. For those unfamiliar, Dunk and Egg are a pair of characters from Martin’s novellas set in the same world as Game of Thrones.

The TV show, which is tentatively titled “Tales of Dunk and Egg”, would follow the adventures of the hedge knight Dunk and his squire Egg about 90 years before the events of Game of Thrones. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Martin revealed that he would love to see the stories adapted for TV, and has already been in talks with HBO about the project.

Martin also shared that there are currently three Dunk and Egg novellas published: The Hedge Knight, The Sworn Sword, and The Mystery Knight. He noted that there are a few more stories planned, and that Dunk and Egg’s adventures could eventually span a similar number of books as the A Song of Ice and Fire series.

The prospect of a Dunk and Egg TV show is exciting for fans of Martin’s work, as well as fans of the Game of Thrones TV show who may be searching for more content set in the same world. Additionally, it’s interesting to see Martin continuing to expand his fictional universe with new stories and characters.

Overall, it sounds like “Tales of Dunk and Egg” has plenty of potential, and it will be fascinating to see how the project develops in the coming months and years.
