GOP leader, who voted to expel 'Tennessee Three,' resigns following report of workplace harassment | CNN

So, I just read this crazy article on CNN about a GOP leader who resigned after being accused of workplace harassment. It’s wild how these things just keep happening. Basically, back in 2019, three lawmakers in Tennessee were kicked out of the GOP for voting against a fetal heartbeat bill. Well, it turns out that the guy who pushed for their expulsion was also accused of creating a toxic work environment for his staff.

The allegations against former House Speaker Glen Casada were made by a female staffer who claimed he would make inappropriate comments about her appearance and touch her inappropriately. Of course, he denies the allegations, but he stepped down as caucus chairman after the report came out.

Honestly, it’s sad to see these types of things happening, especially in positions of power. It’s frustrating that people in leadership positions can abuse that power and get away with it for a long time. Hopefully, this serves as a wake-up call to make sure that everyone in the workplace is treated with dignity and respect.
