‘Harry Potter’ TV Series At HBO Max: JK Rowling In Talks To Produce

So, I was reading this article on how HBO Max is apparently in talks to produce a ‘Harry Potter’ TV series, with JK Rowling herself involved in the production. I mean, how exciting is that? As a die-hard Potterhead, my heart skipped a beat at the news.

Basically, the rumors are that the show would focus on the book series’ original storylines, with the potential to explore new plotlines from the extended universe. It’s not clear yet when the series would be set, nor how many episodes would be available. However, as with most things in the Harry Potter fandom, the mere possibility of more content is enough to set the internet ablaze.

Now, personally, I’m still on the fence about how I feel with this news. I mean, on the one hand, I can’t wait to see more stories set within the wizarding world. On the other hand, the original book series and movies did such an amazing job of bringing that world to life already. I guess I’m just a bit nervous that anything else might not reach those same heights.

In any case, it’s an exciting time to be a Harry Potter fan, that’s for sure. Whether or not the show comes to fruition, it’s always cool to see how the Potterverse continues to inspire creators and fans alike. Now, if you’ll excuse me, it’s time to go brush up on my spells and maybe re-read the books in preparation - just in case.
