So, I just read this really cool article about a Disney auction in Beverly Hills. Basically, Heritage Auctions is hosting an event where they’re selling off over 800 pieces of Disney memorabilia, including items from both the movies and the theme parks.
Some of the items up for grabs include costumes worn by Disney actors, concept art, and even ride vehicles from Disneyland and Disney World. As a huge Disney fan myself, I couldn’t help but get excited reading about all the cool things that people could potentially snag at this auction.
One interesting thing to note is that many of the more valuable items are from older Disney films, such as Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and Fantasia. It’s kind of crazy to think that pieces that are nearly a century old are still in good enough condition to be sold at an auction like this.
I remember going to Disneyland as a kid and feeling like I was in a totally different world. Seeing all of the characters and attractions that I had only ever seen in movies was mind-blowing. It’s pretty cool to think that someone could potentially own a piece of that history.
Overall, I think this auction is just another example of how Disney has become such a huge part of pop culture. It’s not just about the movies anymore - people are willing to spend big bucks on anything related to the franchise. Who knows, maybe one day I’ll be able to afford one of those ride vehicles myself!
