I just read this article about Jonathan Majors and how he got dropped from some big gigs, including Texas Rangers ads and two movies. Apparently, some people dug up some tweets he made way back in 2012 that were homophobic or something, and now he’s paying the price for it.
So basically, the Texas Rangers took down some ads that featured Jonathan Majors after the tweets surfaced. And then two movies that he was supposed to be in, one about Otis Redding and another one based on a Walter Mosley novel, both said they wouldn’t be working with him anymore.
It’s kinda crazy to think that something you said almost ten years ago can come back to haunt you like this. But I guess that’s the world we live in now. It’s like everything you say, post, or even think is out there for people to see and judge you by.
It sucks for Jonathan Majors, but it’s also a good reminder to all of us to be careful what we say online or in public. You never know who’s watching or listening, and you never know how it might affect your future opportunities.
But at the same time, I also think that people should be given a second chance. Maybe he’s changed since then and doesn’t believe those things anymore. I guess we’ll never know.
