So, I just read this article about Kathy Griffin being diagnosed with ‘complex PTSD’ and I found it really interesting. Basically, she underwent an MRI and it showed that she has an ‘extreme case’ of PTSD, which is a mental health condition that can develop after experiencing or witnessing a traumatic event.
The article goes on to explain that Kathy has been dealing with a lot of stress in her life, including the backlash she faced after posing with a fake severed head of Donald Trump back in 2017. She also had a brother who battled addiction and passed away from cancer, which I can imagine would be incredibly difficult to cope with.
As someone who has struggled with anxiety and depression myself, it’s always eye-opening to read about the experiences of others who are dealing with mental health issues. I think it’s important for us to talk about these things and remove the stigma surrounding mental health.
Overall, I think this article is a reminder that we should all take care of our mental health and seek support when we need it. It’s okay to not be okay, and it’s important to remember that we’re not alone in our struggles.
