I recently came across an article about Louise Mathieson’s virtual assistant business, The Administration Agency, and I couldn’t help but be impressed. She’s figured out a way to balance being a mom and running a successful business by utilizing the power of technology and hiring remote workers.
Basically, Louise’s business helps other businesses by handling tasks like social media management, scheduling, email management, and more. Because her team is remote, they’re able to work from anywhere, which allows her to be a more present mom while still providing top-notch services to her clients.
But what really stood out to me was how her business model could benefit so many other working parents. I’m not a parent myself, but I have plenty of friends who are, and I know how hectic their lives can be. Being able to work from home or hire remote workers could give them the flexibility they need to be there for their kids while still pursuing their careers.
Overall, I think Louise’s story is a great example of how technology can help us find a better work-life balance. We don’t have to sacrifice one for the other; we can use the tools available to us to create a career and a home life that are both fulfilling. Plus, it doesn’t hurt that we can do it all in our pajamas.
