So, I just read this really interesting article about Manoj Bajpayee and his experience with Yash Chopra. Apparently, Yash told Manoj once that he didn’t make movies for actors like him, BUT then gave him a role in one of his films anyways.
I thought this was pretty cool because it shows that Yash was willing to take a chance on someone he didn’t necessarily see as a typical leading man. And of course, Manoj went on to become a hugely successful and respected actor.
But it’s also interesting to think about the idea of what a “leading man” even means. There are so many different types of actors that can lead a film, and it’s really just a matter of finding the right role for them. It’s a reminder that there’s no one right way to do things in the film industry.
Overall, I think this article highlights the importance of taking chances and not underestimating people based on their perceived limitations. It’s always worthwhile to give someone a shot, even if they don’t fit into the traditional mold.
