Meet the OCHS Pet of the Week: Nova

I just read an article about the OCHS Pet of the Week, Nova, and I have to say, I’m thoroughly impressed! This furry little feline has quite the heartwarming story. So, in a nutshell, Nova is a 13-year-old domestic short-haired cat who was brought to the OCHS shelter after her owners could no longer care for her. Despite her age, Nova is full of life and spunk, and the staff at OCHS just can’t get enough of her.

What’s really amazing about Nova is that despite being in the shelter for over 200 days, she hasn’t lost her spark. She still loves to play and cuddle with the staff and volunteers, and even gets along with other cats! The OCHS team is hoping that someone will come forward and give Nova the forever home that she deserves.

As someone who has volunteered at animal shelters in the past, I know firsthand how rewarding it can be to give a shelter pet a loving home. It’s not always easy, but it’s definitely worth it. If you’re considering adopting a pet, why not check out Nova and the other amazing animals at OCHS? You might just find your new best friend!

Overall, I think this article is important because it sheds light on the wonderful work that animal shelters do to help pets in need. Plus, it’s a great reminder that it’s never too late to give a shelter pet a second chance at a happy life.
