Oscar Tshiebwe schedules workouts with NBA teams

Oscar Tshiebwe, a former West Virginia Mountaineer and McDonald’s All-American selection, has scheduled workouts with several NBA teams. The news that caught our attention is that Tshiebwe joins the group of college players who have tested the NBA waters in the upcoming draft.

According to ESPN’s Jonathan Givony, Tshiebwe will work out for the Indiana Pacers, Oklahoma City Thunder, Memphis Grizzlies, and the Charlotte Hornets. NBA teams are looking for young talent with unique potential, and Tshiebwe seems to fit the bill.

Tshiebwe was considered one of the best high school recruits when he committed to West Virginia. He lived up to expectations by earning Big 12 All-Freshman honors in 2019, playing in 31 games, and averaging 11.2 points and 9.3 rebounds per game while shooting 56.2% from the field. However, his production fell off in the 2020-2021 season before he left the program in January to focus on his NBA career.

By scheduling these workouts, Tshiebwe will have the opportunity to showcase his ability to NBA scouts and coaches. While nothing is guaranteed, his physicality, athleticism, and size make him an intriguing addition to any NBA team’s front court.

In conclusion, Oscar Tshiebwe’s decision to pursue his NBA dream is both exciting and courageous. It shows that he’s willing to work hard and put himself out there to achieve his dreams. We’ll have to wait and see if this gamble pays off, but we hope to see him succeed at the highest level.
