So, I was just reading this article about Cheryl Strayed, the author of “Wild”, and her new Hulu series called “Tiny Beautiful Things”. It caught my eye because I’m a huge fan of Cheryl’s work and I love all the streaming services out there.
The series is actually based on Cheryl’s book of the same name which is a collection of letters and responses from her time as an advice columnist. The show follows Cheryl, played by the amazing Nia Vardalos, as she gives advice to people who are struggling in various areas of their lives.
What I found really interesting about the article is that Cheryl actually serves as an executive producer on the show which means she has a lot of creative control. I think that’s really cool because it means the show will stay true to Cheryl’s unique voice and perspective.
Personally, I’ve always found Cheryl’s writing to be incredibly inspiring and thought-provoking, so I can’t wait to see how that translates to the screen. Plus, with everything going on in the world right now, I think a show that focuses on human connection and empathy is more important than ever.
Overall, I think “Tiny Beautiful Things” has the potential to be a really powerful and moving show. It’s the kind of thing that can make you laugh, cry, and feel deeply connected to the people around you. I don’t know about you, but that’s exactly what I need right now.
