So, I read this crazy article about Nongshim, the company that makes those tasty Korean instant noodles, and how they’re trying to copyright a recipe created by BTS’s Jungkook called “Bulgeuri.” It’s like they’re trying to steal his thunder! I mean, come on, everyone knows that BTS is the king of K-Pop, and now they’re also ruling the kitchen. Anyway, back to the article.
Basically, Nongshim filed for copyright of the recipe because they want to release a new instant noodle flavor based on Jungkook’s creation. But some fans are not happy about it, saying that it’s unfair for the company to profit off of Jungkook’s idea without giving him credit or compensation. And honestly, I can’t blame them. It’s not like Nongshim came up with the recipe themselves, so why should they get all the glory?
I think it’s interesting how something as simple as a ramyun recipe can cause such a stir in the K-Pop community. BTS has a huge influence on their fans, and their creativity and talent extends beyond just music. But it’s also important to respect their intellectual property and give credit where credit is due. Hopefully, Nongshim will do the right thing and recognize Jungkook’s contribution to the ramyun world.
