So, I just read this article about how even the tiniest kiddos can make some delicious lemon-curd thumbprint cookies for their moms! I don’t know about you, but I’m always looking for fun activities to do with my little cousins, and this seems like a perfect idea.
Basically, the article explained that all you need is some flour, sugar, butter, egg yolks, lemon curd, and a little bit of patience to make these yummy treats. You mix the dry ingredients, add the wet ones, then roll the dough into little balls and make a little indentation with your thumb (hence the name!).
Then, you spoon in a little dollop of lemon curd, and bake ‘em up until they’re golden brown. And voila! You have yourself some homemade, handy-dandy cookies that you and your favorite kiddos can enjoy together.
I’m not the best baker in the world, but reading this article made me realize that I don’t need to be a pro to have fun in the kitchen with my young ones. It’s all about spending quality time together and enjoying the process, even if our final product doesn’t look Instagram-worthy.
All in all, I think this article is a great reminder that even the smallest hands can make something special for their loved ones. Plus, who doesn’t love a good cookie?
