So I just read this crazy article about Rishabh Pant’s health and the uncertainty of his future as a keeper for the Indian cricket team. The BCCI has started a hunt for a new keeper since it looks like it’s going to take Pant another 6-7 months to fully recover.
Basically, Pant had injured himself during the India vs Australia test series and underwent surgery on his elbow. But the recovery process is taking longer than expected and he may not be fit in time for the upcoming T20 World Cup.
Personally, I think it’s a bummer because Pant has been an exciting player to watch and has even been compared to MS Dhoni. But at the same time, it’s important for him to fully recover before stepping back onto the field.
It’s a reminder that injuries can affect anyone, even professional athletes, and that taking care of your health should always be a priority. Plus, it’ll be interesting to see who the BCCI decides to bring on as the new keeper. Who knows, maybe we’ll discover a new rising star in the making.
