So, I was reading this article about Rishabh Pant and how the BCCI is on the hunt for a new keeper because his future as keeper is uncertain. Apparently, it’ll take him another 6-7 months to be fit.
For those who don’t know, Rishabh Pant is an Indian cricketer who’s been keeping wickets for the Indian cricket team for a while now. But, he injured himself during the first Test match against Australia in Adelaide last December, and ever since, he’s been out of commission.
The article says that the BCCI is looking for a backup keeper because they’re not sure if Pant will ever get back to his old form. And, let’s be honest, the Indian cricket team really needs a solid keeper if they want to win games.
To be honest, I’m not really surprised that the BCCI is doing this. It’s always better to be safe than sorry, you know? Plus, I think it’s a good opportunity for some other young cricketer to get a chance and prove themselves. Who knows, maybe the new backup will end up being better than Pant!
All in all, it’s a pretty interesting situation, and I think it’s important to keep an eye on how it develops. After all, the Indian cricket team is a big deal, and any changes to it can have a big impact on the sport as a whole.
