So, I read this article about Rishabh Pant, and apparently the BCCI is on the hunt for a new keeper because his future as keeper is uncertain due to health issues. The official says it’ll take about 6-7 more months for him to get fit again.
Honestly, I feel kind of bad for the guy. Being a keeper is tough enough as it is, and dealing with health issues just makes it that much harder. I remember when I was in high school and I was the only one who knew how to play goalie on our soccer team, and I got injured. The coach had to scramble to find someone to replace me, and it was not easy. So I can only imagine what the BCCI is going through now.
But on a more serious note, injuries are always a risk in any sport, and they can have serious consequences for athletes. It’s important for the BCCI to prioritize Pant’s health, even if it means finding a new keeper in the short-term. In the long run, a healthy Pant will be better for everyone involved.
