So, I just read this article about a new TV series focusing on one of the coolest and most underrated Star Wars characters – Lando Calrissian! Apparently, it’s in the works at Lucasfilm and the executive producer, Kathleen Kennedy, confirmed that it’s still happening.
Basically, the TV show will follow Lando on his adventures before the events of The Empire Strikes Back. We’ll get to see how he became the smooth-talking smuggler we all know and love, and maybe even get some insight into his complicated friendship with Han Solo.
I, for one, am super excited about this news because Lando has always been one of my favorite characters. He’s got style, charisma, and isn’t afraid to take risks. Plus, Donald Glover did an amazing job playing him in Solo: A Star Wars Story, so I can’t wait to see what new stories they come up with for him.
But what’s really interesting to me is how Lucasfilm is expanding the Star Wars universe beyond the main movies. With TV shows like The Mandalorian and upcoming ones like Obi-Wan Kenobi and Ahsoka, there’s a lot more to explore in that galaxy far, far away.
Overall, I think the Lando TV show is going to be a great addition to the Star Wars canon, and I can’t wait to see what kind of trouble he gets himself into. Who knows, maybe we’ll even see Billy Dee Williams reprise his role as the suave smuggler.
