So, I just read this really cool article about Superman & Lois and apparently, the latest episode had some secret references to two old Superman movies! It was pretty awesome to see the show pay homage to its past.
Basically, the first Easter egg was a callback to the 1978 Superman movie starring Christopher Reeve. Lois and Clark attend a high school reunion where Lois dances with a guy who looks strikingly similar to the character of Brad, who was played by the late Jeff East in the original movie.
The second reference was from the 1980 sequel, Superman II, where Clark is asked to cover a story in France. In the show, they digitally added the iconic Eiffel Tower into the background of the scene.
It was so cool to see these little nods to the past movies. It made me feel nostalgic and reminded me of when I used to watch those movies with my dad when I was a kid. I love when shows and movies reference their past, it makes it so much more enjoyable for fans who have been following along for years.
Overall, I think this article is important because it shows how TV shows can pay homage to their past and keep fans interested. It also highlights the attention to detail that the creators put into their work, and how much they care about the fans. I can’t wait to see what other references they add in future episodes!
