You’ll hear a Detroit native’s voice in this new movie

So, I just read this article called “You’ll hear a Detroit native’s voice in this new movie,” and I thought it was really interesting. It’s about how a director decided to use a voice actor from Detroit to narrate his new film, which is set in Detroit.

Basically, the director wanted to make sure that the voiceover sounded authentic and captured the essence of the city. He went through a lot of auditions and finally chose a guy named Ray, who grew up in Detroit and has a really distinct voice.

What I found funny about this article is that the director actually had to coach Ray on how to speak in a way that would be more understandable for people who aren’t from Detroit. Apparently, Ray’s natural way of speaking has a lot of slang and local phrases that might be hard to understand for people who aren’t from there.

As someone who grew up in the Midwest, I can definitely relate to this. We have a lot of our own dialects and language quirks that can make it hard for people from other regions to understand us. But I think it’s really cool that this director made a point to use a local voice actor to add authenticity to his film.

Overall, I think the key takeaway from this is that when it comes to representing a place or a culture, it’s important to use authentic voices and perspectives. It not only adds to the realism of the film, but it also gives opportunities to people who might not have had them otherwise.
