ComEd crews rescue cat from atop a transformer in Rolling Meadows

I read this hilarious article about how ComEd crews in Rolling Meadows had to rescue a poor little cat that got stuck on top of a transformer! Apparently the cat had climbed up there and then couldn’t get down, so the crews had to use a bucket truck to bring it safely to the ground.

It’s crazy to think about how these workers have to deal with not only power lines and electricity, but also adorable little animals in need of help. I remember when I was a kid our family cat got itself stuck on top of a tree and my dad had to climb up there with a ladder to get it down. It was quite the adventure, but thankfully it all ended well.

Overall, the article reminded me of how important it is to look out for the well-being of all animals, even if they sometimes make things more difficult for us humans. Plus, it’s just heartwarming to see people going out of their way to help a furry friend in need.
