Eleven people, six dogs displaced after house fire in central Phoenix

So I came across this article about a house fire in central Phoenix that displaced a family and their six dogs. It’s pretty sad, but also a good reminder of how important it is to have a fire safety plan for your home.

Apparently, the fire started in the kitchen and quickly spread throughout the house. Luckily, nobody was hurt, but the family lost pretty much everything they owned. The Red Cross is helping them out with shelter and other immediate needs.

As a former volunteer firefighter, I’ve seen firsthand how devastating house fires can be. It’s always important to have working smoke detectors, a fire extinguisher, and a plan for how to get out of your house in case of emergency. And if you have pets, make sure they’re accounted for too!

Overall, it’s a sobering reminder of how quickly things can change, and how essential it is to be prepared for the unexpected. My heart goes out to the family and their dogs, and I hope they’re able to rebuild and recover soon.
