Missing dog walks 150 miles across Alaskan sea ice, survives "really big bite" by unknown animal

So, I just read this crazy article about a missing dog in Alaska. Apparently, this pupper walked 150 miles across sea ice and managed to survive a “really big bite” from an unknown animal. Like, what the heck? How does a dog even manage to do that?

Basically, the article is about this 5-year-old Alaskan Malamute named Bowie who went missing back in February. His owners searched for him for over a week, but eventually gave up hope. However, a month later, Bowie showed up at a stranger’s house, skinny and with a wound on his side. The wound, according to the vet, was probably from a “really big bite” from another animal, but they didn’t know what kind.

What’s crazier is that Bowie had traveled over 150 miles across the sea ice to get to that house. It’s just insane to think about! I mean, I get tired after walking a mile, let alone 150. And Bowie survived in subzero temperatures, without food or water, for over a month. That’s some serious resilience.

As for the bite, the vet said it wasn’t from a bear or a wolf, but they’re not sure what it could be. Some people are speculating that it could be a wolverine, which is known for being pretty aggressive. Whatever it was, Bowie managed to survive and make it back to his owners.

Honestly, Bowie’s story is kind of inspiring. It just goes to show that even when the odds are against you, you can still push through and come out on top. Plus, it’s a reminder to always keep an eye on your pets and make sure they’re safe. You never know what kind of crazy adventure they might go on!
