So I was just reading this really interesting article about Pet Refuge, which is looking for volunteers to help out with dogs and cats in need. You know how much I love animals, so it really caught my attention.
Basically, Pet Refuge is a non-profit organization that takes in abandoned or surrendered pets and finds them loving homes. They’re always in need of volunteers to help with things like walking the dogs, feeding and playing with the cats, and even doing some administrative work.
And as someone who has volunteered at a similar organization before, I can tell you that it’s a really rewarding experience. There’s nothing quite like seeing a shy or scared animal start to come out of their shell and show some affection.
Plus, volunteering at Pet Refuge can also be a great way to meet new people who share your love for animals. You never know who you might bond with over a shared love for a particular furry friend!
