So, I just came across this neat article on Forbes that named Tucson as the best city for pet owners in America. As someone who loves animals, I was intrigued, and here’s what I learned.
Basically, Forbes analyzed data on things like vet care accessibility, number of dog parks, and cost of pet insurance to determine which cities provide the best quality of life for pets and their owners. And of all the cities they looked at, Tucson came out on top!
What I found especially interesting is that Tucson was praised for being so pet-friendly not just in terms of amenities, but also in the city’s culture and values. Apparently, there are tons of pet-related events and organizations in Tucson, and people there are especially passionate about rescuing and adopting animals.
Personally, I can definitely see why Tucson got the top spot. When I visited last year, I noticed so many people out and about with their dogs, and I even saw a few cats out on leashes! It really seems like a city where pets are treated like members of the family, and that’s honestly refreshing to see.
All in all, I think it’s important to highlight cities that prioritize animal well-being, because pets are such an important part of so many people’s lives. So kudos to Tucson for earning this recognition - I might just have to move there myself!
