WATCH: Biden gets barked at by Irish president's dog

So I was scrolling through my newsfeed yesterday and stumbled upon this hilarious video of President Biden getting barked at by the Irish president’s dog. Let me tell you, it was the best thing I’ve seen all week!

Basically, President Biden was meeting with the Irish president at his home in Dublin when the dog, a two-year-old rescue named Major, came running in and started barking at him. The video shows Biden trying to maintain his composure while the dog jumps up on him and keeps barking, but you can tell he’s a bit thrown off guard.

As it turns out, Major is actually one of Biden’s own dogs! He brought him along on the trip and apparently the pup was feeling protective of his owner. It’s also worth noting that Major is the first rescue dog to ever live in the White House, which is pretty cool.

All joking aside, I think this video highlights the importance of being able to adapt to unexpected situations, even if they involve an enthusiastic canine. Plus, it’s just nice to see a little bit of lightheartedness in the news for once.
